Black Star Ink began with a vision to reimagine an established tattoo shop in downtown Salt Lake City. We were both navigating major life changes and finding the courage to begin again. We saw the chance to create something meaningful, personal, and entirely our own, and we took it. 

 

We poured our hearts into transforming the space into a welcoming, creative home where women and anybody who has ever felt underrepresented in the tattoo world can feel seen, celebrated, and comfortable being themselves.

 

As two women who understand the power and struggle of starting over, we wanted Black Star Ink to be more than a tattoo shop. We created it as a place where art, beauty, individuality, and connection come together. We’re proud to call this shop our own.
